How did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

I first heard about Special Olympics from my friend at school. It has changed my life by giving me opportunities to travel, to learn new skills and to make friends.

What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?

I have learned to always to do my best at whatever task is given to me, to respect the people around me and help others in any way that I can.

What does being part of Special Olympics Team Canada mean to you and what is your goal for Turin?

I am always honoured to represent my country and grateful for the opportunity to be part of Special Olympics Team Canada 2025. My goal for Turin is to train hard, to do my best at the Games, to represent my country well and hopefully bring home the gold.

What do you want people to know about athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities?

Athletes like me want to be treated equally. Everyone should be treated with respect. As athletes we can excel when given opportunities to learn, and the chance to compete.
