How did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?
I attended my first Special Olympics Games as a spectator at 7 years old when it was held in Catalina, NL, Canada in 1989. I have been attending Special Olympics Games ever since. One barrier I have overcome is self-confidence and speaking. I have learned that I am different but special and I can achieve anything if I try. I am not so shy speaking anymore.
